Will Promise Zones lift Eastern Kentucky out of poverty?

When the people start holding their representatives accountable for what they are doing or are not doing then you will see some improvement. The only time you hear any politician talking about helping the poor is when election time comes around.



When you are broke and hopeless it's very hard to want to keep on going and that is what has happen in most of the poverty counties in Eastern KY. People from the outside really don't understand how these poor people struggle. NO reason that the Federal Gov can't take american tax payer dollars and help the people in Eastern KY we can send billions of dollars oversees but Congress doesn't want to give many of those dollars to Eastern KY, hmmmm wonder why?
